Uses of MyHep Tablet


MyHep is a generic version of sovaldi . MyHep is type of classification of antiviral medication, it contain Sofosbuvir as active ingredient. MyHep is prescription depended drug should be dispensed under the advice of  the consultant. MyHep is indicated  for the treatment of severe Hepatitis C virus in the liver, MyHep  is highly effective medicine for this infection. Therefore it will reduced the action of  hepatitis C Virus in our body and recover the liver from infection caused by virus

How to use MyHep Tablet

Dose recommended for MyHep medication is one tablet of 400mg OD (once daily) taken orally given along with food or without .  Duration of MyHep for genotype 1 or 4  and 2 (CHC) is 12 weeks and Genotype 3 (CHC) is 24 weeks.

If overdose occurs: Sofosbuvir overdose has no specific antidote available, If it occur patient should monitor  the possible toxicity and provide supportive measure treatment or seek to emergency medical department or call poison control helpline.

How to MyHep Tablet works:


MyHep is a nucleotide polymerase inhibitor and includes in direct acting antiviral drug. MyHep expose to have a high barrier to the development of resistance and inhibits the hep C NS5B protein. Hence  MyHep prevents the  RNA polymerase enzyme by the cellular worker which performs the proliferation process, therefore MyHep blocks the replication of Hepatitis C  virus and decrease the amount of Hep C virus in liver. MyHep also acts to reduce damage in liver and improves function in liver.

Absorption: Time to peak plasma concentration is -0.5 to 2hrs.

Distribution: Protein binding 61% to 65%.

Metabolism: Metabolized by hepatic, It form pharmacologically active nucleoside analog triphosphate GS-461203; by desphosphorylation results in formation of nucleoside inactive metabolite GS – 331007.

Excretion: Elimination via urine 80% as metabolite and in feces 14%.

Half life elimination of MYHEP is 0.4 hours.

  • On treatment of Hepatitis C with MyHep will require routine check up  to their physician and blood check up to be followed..
  • MyHep should avoided during pregnancy because risk to unborn baby and birth defect occur.
  • Allergic to Sofosbuvir alone, then inform your consultant.
  • MyHep combination with amiodarone may cause serious bradycardia.
  • Myhep treatment is not recommended in patient with severe kidney and liver disease.

Avoid spreadness of infection via sexual contact, sharing needles or contact with blood during Myhep 400mg treatment


Special Warnings of MyHep Tablets


Alcohol

MyHep interaction with alcohol is unknown. If your are alcoholist please consult with doctor.

Pregnancy

MyHep  Pregnancy category B: In all trimester there are no adequate and well tolerated studies in pregnant women, Since animal reproduction trial has no risks and adverse effect to the fetus. But by combination with ribavirin, assigned a pregnancy category X leads to birth defect  and death to the fetus. Avoid combination therapy during pregnancy.

Lactation

While breast feeding the drugs pass into breast milk is unknown, therefore its recommended that mother should not breast feed during  MyHep  alone and combination treatment.

Driving

MyHep should be given with caution of severe kidney disease in patient. Adjustment of dose require for MyHep 400mg Tablet. Please consult your healthcare professional. Information is less available on use of MyHep 400mg in these patient and for mild to moderate kidney disease, no dose adjustment required in patient.

 


Kidney

MyHep should be given with caution of severe kidney disease in patient. Adjustment of dose require for MyHep 400mg Tablet. Please consult your healthcare professional. Liver

Missed Dosage

If you missed a single dose, consult your physician or take it as soon as possible within  next dose reaches. Avoid taking extra or 2 dose at a time.Take doctor advice for further clarification.
